Xiaomi Mi 10 launching in India on May 8 with 108MP Camera

Finally, Xiaomi is going to launch Mi 10 in India on May 8. The company decided to launch this device on March 31, but because of the COVID-19 situation and extends in lockdown, it was delayed. On May 4 India’s lockdown entered in the third phase. The government decides to lifts the restrictions on the sale of e-commerce and non-essential goods in selected areas, orange zone, and green zone.

On February 13 Xiaomi launched Mi 10 in china it is a flagship 5G smartphone, they marketed this device as a camera-centric smartphone with a 108MP camera. This will be the second device after Samsung Galaxy Ultra that got the huge sensor 108MP.

Xiaomi India managing director Manu Kumar Jain make this announcement on twitter that MI 10 will launch on May 8. However, the launch event will be online on the official website of Xiaomi and their social media handles.

Should you by this device in India?

Recently the Indian government increases the taxes 12%-18% on smartphones, India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain confirms that the prices will be different compare to china. In China, this device is launch at CNY 3,999. Which is roughly around (Rs. 42,500). Direct importing of this device, Higher GST and, deprecating Rupee value will make this device expensive.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Specifications

This device is for the professionals who want accurate color profiles. With a JNCD rating of less than 0.5 makes this device the most color accurate displays on a phone. It comes with 6.67 inches super AMOLED Curve display with full HD+ Resolution. The curve edges make this device beautiful and it even offers 90HZ Refresh rate.

Under the hood, this device has the latest and powerful snapdragon 865 processor based on 7nm and coupled with 8GB Ram and 128GB UFS3.0 onboard storage. There is another variant that comes in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. But it is yet to known which variants will be launch in India.

Talking about the software, this device runs on Android 10 out of the box and topped with MIUI 11, However MIUI 12 has launched, hoping the device will run on the latest version of MIUI. The company said that Mi 10 a tier-1 Android device which means it will be less MIUI Field. It also said that they use more Google Apps such as Google dialer, Google contact. Xiaomi clarified the main thing about the software that there will be no ads on MI 10, which is a good thing for a premium device.

The highlighting feature of this device is the camera. It comes with a 108MP main sensor with the aperture of f1.7 and it supports OIS (Optical image stabilization), a 13mp ultra-wide sensor, and two sensors of 2MP one for macro and another for depth. And on the front side a 20MP Camera with the aperture of F2.0

This device will come in two color variants, Twilight Grey and Coral Green. Talking about premium the Mi 10 will launch at different prices will have to wait for availability and pricing
