Xiaomi announced Redmi note 9 and 9 pro max in March. The sale of the phone was a delay due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The first sale was schedule for 25 March and was postponed due to lockdown extension. However, Xiaomi has made it official and it will be available to buy in India from 12th May afternoon.
The prices of the device also increase due to the increment of tax rate 12%-18%. 6GB 64GB model of Redmi note 9 pro-Max was going to launch at the price of 16,499 (an increase of 1500). It has two other variants 6GB+128 priced at 17,999 and 8GB+128GB priced at 19,999 (an increase of 1000).
It is available in three colors Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black. You can buy it from Mi store or amazon India. However, Indian Govt. relaxed the restrictions and allowed E-commerce companies to deliver non-essential items in the orange and green zone.

Redmi note 9 pro max features 6.67 inches IPS LCD screen and has a resolution of 1080×2400 (FHD+). The phone is made of glass and protected by corning gorilla glass 5. The brightness of the screen can extend up to 450 nits. This device runs on android 10 topped with MIUI 11. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
under the hood, it is powered by a snapdragon 720G octa-core CPU, based on 8nm coupled with 6GB LPDDR4 Ram and 128GB UFS2.1 internal storage. It has a dedicated macro SD card slot to expand the storage up to 512GB. The battery of this device has a 5000mah that supports 30W fast charging and it can charge your device 0-50% in just 30 minutes.
Talking about the cameras the rear has quad-camera setup, 64MP Main sensor with the aperture of f1.9, an 8MP ultra-wide, and two sensors of 2 megapixels one for macro and another for depth. On the front, there’s a punch hole for selfie camera housing a 32MP sensor.
Connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth 5.1, USB- Type-C, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
