Redmi Note 9 launched in India with quad cameras

Redmi Note 9 launched in India at an affordable price. After Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max this will be the third smartphone in this series. It is a successor of Redmi Note 8 which was launch last year.

Redmi Note 9 comes in the budget segment, and compare to its predecessor lot of thing has been improved. It features a punch-hole design and the back resembles the Redmi 9 series.

The phone support reverses chagrining and also increase 25 percent battery capacity. It comes with quad cameras and it offers up-to 6GB Ram.

Pricing and availability

The Redmi Note 9 costs at Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The phone also has a 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs at Rs. 13,499, the the top-of-the-line, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option carries a price tag of Rs. 14,999.

The phone comes in three color options, Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey. The Redmi Note 9 will go on sale from Friday, July 24. You can buy it from,, Mi Home stores, and Amazon

Redmi Note 9 specifications

The phone features a 6.53 inches punch-hole design IPS LCD screen with the resolution of Full HD+. The display supports corning gorilla glass 5 protection to any damages from scratches. It also supports water replicant coating to protect the phone from rain or water splash.

The phone is built of plastic and glass, it measures 162.3×77.2×8.9mm and weighs 199g. The phone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 out of the box. The brightness of the display can go up to 450 nits and it supports dual Nano sim cards

Under the hood, the phone has an octa core MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. Coupled with 4GB ram and 64GB internal storage and it can go up to 6GB/128GB. The phone packs with a massive 5020mah battery that support 22.5W fast charging and the good thing is the fast charger will be provided in the box. The phone also supports 9W reverse charging.

Talking about the cameras, the rear of the device supports a quad-camera setup, the main 48Mp sensor with the aperture of f.18, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro, and another 2MP for depth. On the front, the punch hole cutout housing a 13MP camera.

Other features include, rear mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack.
